Weekend at Big Ridge State Park

With finals looming near, it was nice to get away from (most of my) schoolwork for a weekend of camping with family.

My nephew, Henry, playing by my mom’s  1968 Yellowstone

This trip was the Yellowstone’s maiden voyage, so we stayed pretty close to home and went to Big Ridge State Park.

Although the trees weren’t all green and blooming, the lake was bordered by fields of yellow flowers that you could get lost in.

Like on any good camping trip, the weekend wasn’t complete without some roaring fires and s’mores…

…even if they end up all over your face!
